The Breakers are coming off a solid defensive 1-0 victory against CFR CLUJ. This win came at the right time as the Breakers were struggling with scoring and found themselves with no offense and a mediocre defense.
LOSC Lille Metropole played host to the Breakers. Lille Olympique Sporting Club (LOSC0 is a French football club. Based in the northern city of Lille founded in 1944 from the merger of the Olympique Lillois (founded in 1902) and the SC Fives (founded in 1901).
LOSC got the match off to a quick start with the first goal at the 11'. This pattern is of a first early goal by the opposing team is an unfortunate one that continues to haunt the breakers.
The Breakers shook off the early goal with a number of solid offensive attacks of their own. Manning (16) barely missed a free kick!
E. Chow (63) took a great shot on goal which was just out of reach by the goalie, but went wide right of the goal. The Breakers continued to trail 1-0.
E. Chow (63) took another amazing shot on goal to begin the second half, but it was stopped again by the goalkeeper.
Shot after shot kept getting deflected! As the match progressed, the Breakers became more discouraged since all their build ups ended without a goal!
The Breakers defense remained solid and only allowed 5 shots on goal. Desi (5) stopped a brilliant shot on goal that would have put the match out of reach!
The final minutes of the match ended with the Breakers remaining scoreless and LOSC winning 1-0.
The Breakers played a great match with 9 shots on goal and 4 on target. Although the Breakers are disappointed with the loss, the team played fairly well if not for the early goal at the 11'.
