Master League 1, League D, D2 (Officially Ending)

Dear Readers,

I've decided to officially end my first Master League season. My original Santa Cruz Breakers team will end this season with a miserable record of 1-0-7. (My new Master League season has already begun and will be updated in this blog!)

The decision to quit and restart my Master League season did not come lightly as I am not someone who believes in quitting games or more importantly an entire master league season.

However, as stated in prior posts, I became increasingly concerned that the players I created and edited for the Breakers were created with what I thought were appropriate #'s for each attribute without any real understanding of how attributes could impact each player by their position. After reviewing a few teams in my option file that was downloaded from pesgaming, I realized that my players were in fact a bit off. - - - When I say off, I mean some players attributes needed to be "tweaked" downward, while others needed to be increased depending on their position.

The team I've decided to model my Santa Cruz Breakers after is the US National team. Although some may say that it's not fair since the US National team might be to strong, I'd disagree, at least from the Option File I am using. The US National team closely matches the other 11 Teams I've chosen to be in my Master League.

Werder Bremen * Shakhtar Donestsk * FC Zenit St. Petersburg * Havre Athletic Club * Rangers Football Club * OGC Nice Cote D'Azur * CFR CLUJ * Alkmaar Zaanstreek (AZ) * LOSC Lille Metropole * Stade Rennais F.C. * Willem II

As I've stated before, I am a huge fan of the PES series, but don't consider myself to be a great player. I am average at best. I've decided that my initial settings for my Master League will be remain the "middle" difficulty setting. After playing a few exhibition matches, this level felt the most appropriate for my gaming abilities.

Although I am a bit disappointed to have to start a new master league, I feel that it was worth the effort to compare my player abilities by position to other teams. The more I progressed through my first Master League season, I realized that my players did not feel suited for the positions they were playing in.

While I can never be 100% sure that it was the attributes I created for my players, the more I reviewed other teams, it became clear that making some minor and other major player changes, would make the most sense and would put myself in the position to better enjoy my Master League as well as being confident that my team / player attributes were more closely aligned to an actual soccer team.

I'd like to thank my readers for initially following the Breakers in my blog! I sincerely hope you continue reading this blog and follow the progress of my Santa Cruz Breakers in my new Official Master League 1, League C, Division 2.

I promise to myself and my readers that my Santa Cruz Breakers, closely matching the player attributes of the US National team will not be changed except for the recruitment and transfer of players throughout my first and future Master League seasons!

Cheers!
