Breakers at Home Against FC Porto for the Second Leg of Round 1 of the England Cup

Excitement was in the air as the home town fans poured into Lighthouse Field to watch the Breakers take on FC Porto in Round 1 Leg 2 of the England Cup. The first match between these teams ended in a 0-0 draw. This match would decide who would move on in Cup matches.

The Breakers came out in a 4-5-1 formation which is the first time we've seen the Breakers play in this heavily defensive formation. The Breakers seemed a bit sluggish in throughout the first half of the match. It was unclear if the new formation and different starting lineup had anything to do with their behavior. The second half began and FC Porto was able to score the first and only goal of the match. At the 87', Chow got a hold of a poorly passed ball from the Keeper and took a fairly open shot on goal, but it went wide right.

The Breaker fans were disappointed with the loss, but appeared excited about the rest of the D2 league season and is hopeful that the Breakers will finally get a win soon!
