Press Conference with Breakers to discuss 2-3-6 record

Chow (63) had two solid shots on goal, that couldn't find the back of the net in the last match against LOSC!

The press conference interviewing E. Chow (63) the current Captain of the Santa Cruz Breakers lasted just under 15 minutes.

PRESS: Why are the Breakers struggling?

E. CHOW: The Breakers are a young team that have faced a number of solid club teams in D2 of League C. The more we play, the better we will become!

PRESS: In your 4-0 loss against Werder Bremen, it appeared that your team hit the low point of this season, what did you tell your team after the match?



E. CHOW: As Captain, it's my responsibility to work with my team and help them to stay composed and focused. The 4-0 loss against Werder Bremen was a devastating loss for us and our team began to unravel, especially after the second goal being an "own goal". I told my teammates that "each match is new opportunity for us to win and that we will only win as a team when we play as a team."


PRESS: What will be the most important thing the Breakers can do for the second half of the season?

E. CHOW: We need to stay composed and remain disciplined throughout the entire 90+ minutes of each match. The team needs to begin each match strong and not flat as we've done so in the past, which tends to have led to an early goal by the opposing team.

The Breakers manager stated they he felt that the team was prepared to finish strong in the second half of the season! No additional comments about future prospects in the upcoming negotiation period.

League Game 1: Santa Cruz Breakers vs LOSC Lille Metropole

My first game in the Master League Season for 2008-2009 was against LOSC Lille Metropole (LOSC).


Lille Olympique Sporting Club is a French football club. Based in the northern city of Lille founded in 1944 from the merger of the Olympique Lillois (founded in 1902) and the SC Fives (founded in 1901).

The game began with LOSC taking a 1-0 lead over the Santa Cruz Breakers. The Breakers remained focused and continued to play hard as they fought for their first goal of the game and season.

Bock (33) scored the Breakers first goal of the game and the season! The equalizer was an amazing goal and we were tied 1-1.



Late in the game, E. Chow (24) fought hard to obtain possession of a brilliantly passed ball from Bock (33) to score the goal which allowed the Breakers to take their first lead in the match. The Breakers played solid defense in the final minutes of play which allowed them to obtain a season opener win at home!

Although the Breakers won their first match, the game was close and could have gone been a draw if it wasn't for the late build up by Bock (33) and E. Chow (24).

The Santa Cruz Breakers celebrated their first victory of their inaugural season in PES 2009! The next match is the first D2 Cup game against Werder Bremen. The Breakers will need to be focused and prepare for this tough match.
