League Game 8: Stade Rennais F.C. vs Santa Cruz Breakers

It's surprising to imagine that the Breakers, in their first Master League season, already has a strong rivalry against Stade Rennais FC. The Breakers have faced Stade Rennais F.C. twice in the first round of the D2 cup.

Their first match in Santa Cruz ended in a surprising and disappointing 3-3 draw. The Breakers scored the first two goals and Stade Rennais F.C. fought back to stay alive and score a final equalizing goal at the 87'.

Their second match on the road was dominated by Stade Rennais F.C. who won 2-0. The Breakers were knocked out of the D2 Cup in the first round and thus the beginning of this beautiful rivalry.

As the match began, it became clear that Stade Rennais F.C. was the stronger team. Stade Rennais F.C. came out with an all out offensive attack.

Their first goal was a beautiful shot past the goalie and ended in the back of the net!

The Breakers had a couple shots of their own to try to tie the match before the half, but were unsuccessful.

The second half began the same as the beginning of the first with Stade Rennais F.C. easily scoring their second and final goal of the match.

Stade Rennais F.C. won the match 2-0 over the Breakers. The total domination was by Stade Rennais F.C. was disappointing to the Breakers who wanted revenge for being knocked out of the D2 by Stade Rennais FC.

The offensive possession by Stade Rennais F.C. of 58% to a pitiful 42% by the Breakers is one stat to show that the Breakers need to control the ball better on all sides of the pitch!

League Game 7: Havre Athletic Club vs Santa Cruz Breakers

The Breakers are coming off a bit of a high with their first win of their Master League season over OGC Nice Cote D'Azur. The Breakers hoped they could continue this streak against Havre Athletic Club.

Le Havre Athletic Club Football Association or Havre Athletic Club, is a French football club based in Le Havre, founded in 1872 making it the oldest football and rugby club registered in France.

Both clubs came out of the match ready to win. The Breakers has a number of shots on goal, but could not get it past Havre Athletic Clubs' goalkeeper. The half with a 0-0 score.

In the second half, the Breakers were able to get the first goal of the game with Manning (16) slipping one just out of the keepers reach at the 56'. Nice shot!

As the match entered the final 10 minutes, the Breakers were beginning to think they may have a second win on their hand. however, this was spoiled with a last minute goal at the 81'.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Although the Breakers were disappointed with the loss --- especially since it was such a last minute goal, Havre Athletic Club played a strong offensive showing with 13 shots and 56% possession.

League Game 3: Santa Cruz Breakers vs Rangers Football Club

The Breakers came away from the their last match against AZ with a 1-1 draw thanks to their last minute goal at the 85'. This last minute goal and draw definitely felt like a win to the Breakers whose offense and defense played well for most of the match.

The Rangers Football Club have come to town for their match against our Santa Cruz Breakers. The Rangers Football Clus is an association football team based in Glasgow, Scotland, that currently plays in the Scottish Premier League.

Rangers' players and fans today are multi-national and of various religions and politics, although the club has traditionally been identified with and favoured the Protestant and Unionist community of Scotland, as well as the Unionist community in Northern Ireland.

The Rangers came to town and came out in a full attack mode for much of the match. Although the Rangers took 10 shots on goal, none were able to find the back of the net.

The Breakers offensive attack was non-existent in this match. They only had 3 shots on goal and only 1 had any real chance of leading to a goal.

Neither squad was able to score a goal in this match which was obviously dominated by the visiting Rangers Football Club.

Although the Breakers posed no real offensive threat, they played well with 49% possession which has improved in every match. Their defense and especially goal keeper, Desi (5) needs to be commended for facing 10 shots on goal with 7 being on target!

The final score of 0-0 is definitely seen as a Breakers victory!
